My Background
My name is Charles W. Moorer.  I am originally from Norwalk, CT, but I currently reside in Hamden, CT.  After graduating from high school, I moved to Baltimore, Maryland where I attended Loyola College and earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in political science and economics.   Four years later, I returned to Connecticut to attend Quinnipiac University School of Law.  In May 2003, I graduated from Quinnipiac University with my JD from the Law School and my MBA from the Business School.   I passed the Connecticut Bar Exam several months later and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in November 2003.  Currently, I am working as an attorney with Hartford Fire Insurance Company, in Hartford, CT.   

Although I have a rigorous schedule at work, my employer has been very reasonable and supportive, allowing me “personal time off” to pursue my bodybuilding/fitness-modeling career.  In addition to working full-time, I spend approximately 20 hours per week training for bodybuilding competitions.  I recently won Mike Katz' 14th Annual Connecticut and Northern States Natural Bodybuilding Competition.  I took 1st place in the Connecticut and Northern States Divisions (middleweight class), and the show's overall winner.  Although I have only been competing for 2 years, I have excelled fairly quickly with the help of Mike Katz and Dr. Mike Dusa.  I am currently training for Team Universe (August 6th) and MuscleMania New York (August 20th). 

Current Goals and Aspirations
Notwithstanding the commitment to my career as an attorney, I have a real passion for natural bodybuilding and fitness.  In addition to competing in natural bodybuilding competitions, I would like to be a positive role model for others and an advocate for natural bodybuilding.  Despite the negative press surrounding bodybuilding, I eventually want to establish a strong and meaningful relationship with an organization and other natural bodybuilders to promote fitness. 

 In addition, I would like to become the face and image for a well-known supplement company in an effort to encourage fitness and the healthy life style.  As an attorney and an amateur natural bodybuilder, I can wear different “hats” and thus, capable of communicating to the every day gym rat and the working professional.  Given my background and well-proportioned physique, I could be a very valuable asset for the “perfect” supplement company.  Enclosed is a copy of my portfolio for your review.
